Treasurer's Report – Steve Delano presented copies of his report to committee; stated that we are running a little low on funds, only $1,970 for collection this week. Also noted that we received two checks ($43 from ____ and $16.37 from Christian Books), Steve will make sure they are deposited.  Bob Sears thought we should look more into the DONATE button and address it in September and to also put a note in the Sunday bulletin each week regarding online donating button and better explain our  church budget. (If you would like to donate, please go to our website – the funds will go into our PayPal account. Wendy stated that PayPal button can be put on Facebook. Motion to accept treasurer minutes by Karen Hong; 2nd by Myron Winders; so moved.

Pastor’s Report – Pastor stated that the church has been well attended and that since its summer, will have worship outdoors, weather permitting.  Palmer Cookout at 27th; sign up sheet for food donations.  Pastor will be starting  a New Testament Survey (course) in a few weeks.

Ongoing Business

  • Recap - Future Energy – Myron Winders made it to Sandwich to see solar field there to see battery storage – it is  large and fenced but could not get in.  They do have battery storage on that.  Spoke to wiring inspector that they don’t own systems; he thinks town of Sandwich just collect taxes.  Myron stated picture 1 of the battery storage is size of a small “storage pod”;  only noise it makes is like an air conditioner.  Picture 2 is ac/dc inverters to convert power from solar – has meter and cabinets for connecting/disconnecting things. It is a basic, simple unit.  Doesn’t have rating – future energy size is about 50’ x100’ size.  Footprint might be larger with fencing. As far as Future Energy unit it should be only noise, it’s like an air conditioner kicking on. Myron thinks that this is a plus for chapel in the long run- contractor will need to build fence/maintenance building; we may need to add a rider for the battery unit.  Also need to know if there are any steps the state has for battery solar storage.  Myron further stated that the state government is pushing to have this to reduce carbon footprint.  Bob asked about poles near church building and feels it’s appropriate to have them on the parking lot side. Also mentioned that chapel would get $1,000 per month until unit is installed then $30,000 per year.

  • Roll Call Board – Pastor Allan has a file on it – tabled.

  • Door locks and keys – monthly combinations emailed. Seems to be working.

  • Donate button – see treasurer report.

  • Lortie Construction – cupola Myron had a good conversation last week.  He was going to meet Gabriel Lortie at church, but he can’t get there.  Worked out with Bob to meet with Gabriel and go over cupola and bring ladder to look at it. He is a steeplejack engineer, and Myron also mentioned the lift.  Meet Wednesday July 16.  He will look at a new entrance and thoughts on that.

  • Elevator/Lift – letter, update- Bob has to polish it a bit.  Bring letter next month.  Ginny mentioned a $10,000 grant from Kentucky Fried Chicken for accessibility; grant process for that opens on July 24.
