Clerk’s Report – copies given out and emailed.  No corrections as noted.  Thank you cards were sent to Dave Greene and Cathie Nolan for their service to the board.  Ginny has three insurance companies to contact regarding church insurance; motion to accept by Bob Sears, as presented; 2nd Steve Delano; so voted.

Treasurer's Report – Steve Delano sent report out to members.  He stated that nothing jumps out except plowing. He also stated that we have good savings by switching to Verizon noting that we have a credit coming back Comcast in the amount of $108.87.  The monthly bill for a Verizon will be $165.49 per month compared to $352.08 with Comcast. Ginny noted high number for plowing and thought perhaps we should begin looking for new snow removal person in September/October. Noted that checkbook balance as of March 31, 2025, is $52,322.74. Pastor Allan asked a question regarding “Retained Earnings" on balance sheet; Steve let us know that retained earnings is money earned after expenses (for tax purposes)  Steve will research this further; it is not extra income.  Motion to accept Treasurers Report by Ginny Sears; 2nd Pastor Allan,  so voted.

Pastor’s Report – Pastor Allan is working with Rev Peter Smith of First Congregational Hanson for sunrise service which will take place at Camp Kiwanee at 6 am Easter morning. Deacons are talking about doing something around Easter deciding on a Deacon’s Breakfast Easter Saturday.  Motion to accept Pastor’s report by Bob Sears; 2nd by Dennis Carman, so voted.

Ongoing Business

  • Recap - Future Energy – Bob Sears has information; recapped what Mike Jones gave us; he thinks there are a lot of questions we don’t have or know answers to. Bob passed out bullet point sheet with explanations.  This item is continued, not sure of our next step.

  • Roll Call Board – update – Tabled.

  • Door locks and keys – crash bars – Myron purchased key lock box; it holds 5 keys; Pastor Allan will set a code, and folks would access key  to get into church.  Locate box near door so that they can open door and put key right back inside. Pastor thought he’d put a springy snake inside!

  • Donate button -  Steve has information on boxes.  He will get them set up soon.  These will be used for folks to donate electronically also can be used for bake sales, etc., for convenience.

  • Lortie Construction – Myron Winders is still trying to get him here to look at cupola and will also ask about doghouse/elevator access.

  • Elevator lift – Bob Sears stated he was uncomfortable being one person handling this item.  We spoke at Annual meeting briefly about this – folks did not have chance to think about it  -Bob thinks we need to have an after-church meeting or one page letter about what we are proposing to do.  He thinks that then people will have time to think about it.  We should wait 2 weeks after meeting/or sending letter then have a Q&A session.  It will take a while to raise the $60,000 +/-  needed.  Bob didn’t want people to think that Prudential Committee would decide to do this without their input. Bob volunteered to create a letter.  Motion to allow Bob Sears to draft letter concerning lift project, send to committee members to approve.  Dennis Carman thought that folks would be on board to do this project. Motion by Dennis Carman; 2nd by Steve Delano;  passed.
